Emergencies can occur anywhere, at any time and without warning…it is important to be prepared. In an emergency, essential services such as power and household water supplies could be disrupted and lead to unsafe, unhealthy or insanitary conditions.
The Auckland Regional Public Health Service has developed plans and procedures specific to public health emergencies including pandemic, food safety, drinking water, hazardous substance incidents, communicable disease and business continuity plans (to ensure continuation of public health services during an emergency).
