It’s ‘Feetbeat’ time again! 14 September - 6 November 2009
This means it’s nearly spring and the time of year for all couch potatoes – and others to start thinking about entering the fun walking programme Feetbeat.
It’s time to get a team together of no more than 8 people, think up a fun name for your team and you might even win a prize!
For those new to it, ‘Feetbeat’ is an annual event run by Auckland Regional Public Health Service. Anyone in the Auckland region can enter a team, and entry is free.
Teams of up to eight participants track their combined distances of activity on a team record sheet. These activities may include walking, cycling, running and swimming – but 6 out of 8 team members need to be walkers. Bonus points can be gained through encouraging whanau and friends to participate with you on their journey to health. Follow this link for details.
