Swine Flu Situation Update

Introduction

New Zealand is currently on code yellow of its pandemic plan, following the arrival of Novel A H1N1 09 (Swine flu) on April 25 flight NZ 1.

The national response to this situation is being run by the Ministry of Health.

Caring for yourself and your family to reduce risk to others living in the home. This means regularly washing your hands with soap and water, and drying them well. It means being careful to cover up coughs and sneezes with a tissue, putting used tissues into a bin, and staying away from others if you have the flu.
